Currently sold out of its popular radio-controlled, high-performance scale-model raceboats, Pro Marine RC of Indianapolis has 150 more stock models coming from its vendor and scheduled to arrive on Dec. 22. That means, according to company founder and veteran offshore racer Micheal Stancombe, interested customers/gift-givers could have them delivered by Christmas day.

Pro Marine RC boats are available with stock Stephen Miles-designed graphic wraps or custom (above) paintjobs.

“If someone orders between now and Dec. 22 and our shipment arrives on time, there is a 99-percent chance we can have them delivered by Christmas,” said Stancombe. “We still stay here all night to get it done if we have to. About 40 percent of the 150 boats are already sold. I highly suggest ordering right now if you want one.”

Stancombe said he has sold more than 500 radio-controlled scale-model boats since he started the venture less than two years ago. The stock boats come with wrapped designs created by Stephen Miles of Stephen Miles Design. Custom-painted/wrapped models are available, though custom graphics add at least two weeks to the delivery time once an order is placed.

“Dean Loucks (the founder of The Art Of Design graphics company) is wrapping one now,” said Stancombe. “Mike Pierce, who just bought the latest Pure Platinum Skater, is having one done. Travis at Swoop Motorsports has bought a ton, probably more than 50 boats. Offshore racer Mark Niemann is selling the hell out of them in Florida. And the new Phantom model turned out just ridiculous.

“We have helped RC boat racing around the country,” he added. “I know a club in Florida that has tripled its membership since we started. I’m so proud of that. It’s been fun.”
