Yesterday, Mercury Racing announced the release of its new Propeller Slip Calculator App for both Apple and Android devices. According to the Mercury Racing Blog written by Scott Reichow, the Fond du Lac, Wis., company’s performance propeller manager, the app provides all of the functionality of the calculator featured on Mercury’s website.
Reichow writes that the app enhances the versatility of the tool—making prop testing much easier and a ton more accurate—and that it can be downloaded for free from Google Play Store or Apple iTunes.
“I use the slip calculator daily when assisting customers with propeller questions,” Reichow said. “It is a great tool that provides much more information than just slip.”
Be sure to check out Reichow’s complete blog here. He provides some excellent insight on propeller slip for a few applications citing examples of the various calculations you can perform with the new app.
