Headquartered in Osage Beach, Mo., Performance Boat Center will exhibit several models at the upcoming Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show, October 30-November 3. And thanks to the dealership’s customer Win Farnsworth, a well-known figure in high-performance boating circles, and his longtime girlfriend, Sara Christine, visitors to the show will get a look at the first new Wright Performance 420 catamaran powered by Mercury Racing 450R supercharged V-8 outboard engines.
Owned by well-known go-fast boat enthusiast Win Farnsworth, this new Wright Performance 420 catamaran will be at the Performance Boat Center docks during the 2019 Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show (click image to enlarge).
Farnsworth took delivery of the boat, then dressed in simple white gelcoat, during the 2019 Lake of the Ozarks Shootout in August. Since then, Performance Boat Center has painted the boat with graphics selected by Farnsworth and Sara Christine.
“It looks really great and runs really great,” said Farnsworth. “The cockpit is massive and the storage is literally twice as much as my DCB had. The boat gets on plane at 14.3 mph and we ran 115 mph with five people and 120 gallons of fuel on board. It’s insane.”
A trio of high-performance center consoles from Sunsation Powerboats will round out the Performance Boat Center display. The dealership will showcase a 40 CCX with triple Mercury Racing 450R outboards, a 34 CCX with twin 450Rs and a 32 CCX with twin 400Rs.
“The Fort Lauderdale Boat Show actually has become a better sales opportunity than the Miami Boat Show,” said Brett Manire of Performance Boat Center, which has a satellite location in nearby Hollywood, Fla. “People can get on the waiting list or get a boat now versus all the good stuff being sold out by the time Miami comes around. Plus, there are no demos, which makes selling easier as you’re not idling out to run boats all day.”
