In holding open our May/June issue until yesterday so we could include coverage of last weekend’s Pirates of Lanier Poker Run and the Boyne Thunder Poker Run the weekend prior, we put our backs against the wall, so to speak. Keeping this issue open “late”—something you only can do with a digital magazine supported by a daily online news site with a weekly newsletter and its own recently released app—meant we had to have everything done and ready to go live except for the final layout. It meant contributing photographer Yvonne Aleman had to turn around her images from Lanier quickly—and under significant pressure she came through. And it meant that sleep has been in short supply for the past few nights.
All completely worthwhile in our view, and we hope you’ll agree when you download the new issue. Here’s a quick look at just some of what you’ll find inside the latest Speed On The Water digital magazine.
Texas Keeps Upping the Ante
The Texas Outlaw Challenge offers much more than the spectacular pool parties it has been hosting since 2008.

Sunsation 36 SSR Profile: Solid Ride
