Lake Race To Broadcast Live In Multiple TV Markets

The second stop in the six-race American Power Boat Association Offshore Championship Series, the Lake Race set for June 1 on the Lake of the Ozarks in Central Missouri will air live on television stations throughout the region. Owned by William Holtz Media Group, Lake TV will produce the six-hour broadcast that, through a deal with MediaCom, will air on Channel 22 in Missouri (including Jefferson City, Columbia and Springfield), Minnesota and Iowa.

“This is huge for us,” said Holtz, who also just finished producing the printed 2019 Lake Race program, in collaboration with speedonthewater.com, for the event.

The Lake Race broadcast crew will include Holtz, who has an extensive background reporting live sports on television. He’ll be joined by broadcast veteran Chris Sneider, the sports director at FM Radio 107.9 “The Coyote” (the official 2019 Lake Race radio station) and longtime offshore racing broadcaster Mike Yowaiski.

“We have the quite the broadcast team lined up,” Holtz said, then laughed. But I may be a biased.”

The Lake Race follows the APBA Offshore Championship Series season-opener May 17-19 in Cocoa Beach, Fla. The series is being produced by the Offshore Powerboat Association and Powerboat P1.
