The inaugural Kuttawa Cannon Ball Run will benefit the REBOOT Combat Recovery organization.

Proceeds of the run, which will feature long and short courses, will go to REBOOT Combat Recovery, a charity benefiting veterans reentering civilian life. The long-course entry fee is $100 per boat. The short-course entry fee is $50 per boat. Passenger fees are $25 per person.

Sponsorship packages are available at three levels and costs: Four Star at $1,000, Three Star at $500 and Two Star at $250. (Details for each sponsorship level are included on the website.)

Organizer Jeff Hoefling said he’s received overwhelmingly positive response to the event so far.

“Kentucky Lake, where most of the run will be, is big enough to handle of couple of hundred boats,” Hoefling stated in a previous speedonthewater.com article. “Of course, we’re not expecting that. If we have 20, 30, 40, 50 boats or even more we’d be ecstatic.”
