The “Official Audio Partner” of the Formula 1 Powerboat Series, KICKER Marine Audio is backing the Lake Havasu Classic Outboard Championships, October 25-29 presented, by American Outdoor Events. The Arizona-based race-weekend is part of the Legends Of Havasu and it will be held on Thompson Bay, which is front of the Nautical Inn host venue.
“The racing fans here in Lake Havasu who love high performance racing are very much the same as KICKER Marine Audio customers who expect performance from their boats’ sound systems,” says Jeremy Bale, KICKER Marine Audio’s brand manager, in a press release from the Stillwater, Okla., company. “Partnering with Formula 1 Powerboat events brings KICKER into the kind of sports our clients crave.
“Our marine slogan ‘Go Overboard’ fits the Formula 1 and Legends of Havasu profile,” he added.
In addition to supporting the event, the 50-year-old company will display its latest marine audio components and complete sound systems during the weekend. KICKER Marine Audio also is sponsoring the “F1 Race Ride Experience,” which uses a two-seat tunnel-boat to provide rides for VIP guests, dignitaries, media and sponsors at more 100 mph.
Formula 1 tunnel boats have been competing on Lake Havasu since the 1960s.
“I’m proud to bring our championship-caliber powerboat racing here and look forward to sharing an exciting weekend of racing and entertainment,” said Tim Seebold, the manager director of F1 Powerboats, in the release. “We are grateful to our sponsor, KICKER Marine Audio for adding its powerful sound and support to the championship, and also appreciate the presentation by MidAmerica Outdoors as they expand the event’s excitement.”
