Given that the Lake of the Ozarks boasts more 1,000 miles of coastline, it stands to reason that the Central Missouri waterway would have few nice coves. Make that more than a few. In fact, you could spend your next 21 summers on the famed Army Corps of Engineers-created aquatic playground, which boasts one of the most vibrant high-performance scenes in the country, and not see them all—though you’d surely have a great time trying.
But here’s a hot tip for a Lake of the Ozarks cove that isn’t hard to find and you don’t want to miss. It’s near Mile Marker 21—the lake is 90 miles long so mile markers help big time with navigation—in the Osage Beach area, and it’s the home of Performance Boat Center.
Of course, you’ve heard of the place. Opened just a few years ago by Mark Waddington and his close friend Brett Manire, the Cigarette, Statement and Sunsation dealer has made a big splash in a relatively short period of time.
