Most of the participants in the Florida Powerboat Club’s Miami Boat Show Poker Run and MTI Owner’s Fun Run will either head back or are already heading back to Miami from the Faro Blanco Resort and Yacht Club in Marathon today. Among them was Ron Szolack, who piloted his Mitcher T-painted (from a design by Stephen Miles) Mystic Powerboats C4400 catamaran powered by a pair of Mercury Racing 1100 engines to the Florida Keys venue this weekend and headed home yesterday.

Well known in the performance-boating community for ordering goregeous new high-performance catamarans and selling them in short order, Szolack is putting up the pretty 44-footer for sale with FB Marine Group, which is headquartered in Pompano Beach, Fla., where Szloack has a winter home. (He spends summers in the St. Clair, Mich., area.) He took delivery of the boat in January and ran it for the first time in this weekend’s event.

But now it’s time to turn it over to another lucky owner.

“It runs great—it’s a beautiful boat with a nice ride,” Szolack said. “We rode down here at 100 to 125 mph with two-foot chop all the way.”

We don’t know what’s next for Szolack. We’re sure it’s going to be beautiful. In the meantime, he has at least one more ride, the ride home, to take in his Mystic.
