A year-round Lake of the Ozarks local, Alicia Larkin loves the high-performance boating scene on the Central Missouri waterway. Chances are good that if the sun is out and the 29-year-old bartender isn’t working, she’s on the water—most often with her hardworking boyfriend, Brett Manire, who co-owns Performance Boat Center.

And starting last Friday, Larkin and Manire logged plenty of time on the water in a Cigarette Racing Team 38 Top during the sixth annual Cigarette Owners Rendezvous hosted by the full-service, multi-brand dealership. But there were a few quiet moments during the week for the sun-kissed dynamo, and speedonthewater.com chief photographer Pete Boden managed to snag a beautiful one standing on her ride for the weekend.
Next up on the Performance Boat Center-sponsored event roster is its inaugural Mercury/Mercury Racing Outboards Fun Run on Friday, June 26. Manire, of course, will be in the thick of it, but there’s a good-to-excellent chance Larkin will be at his side, much as she has been since they first started dating a year-and-a-half ago.
Said Manire, “Our first date was for the 2019 Florida Powerboat Club’s Miami Boat Show Poker Run. “She is so amazing with my daughter, McKinley.
Manire paused to chuckle. “The rest, as they say, is history,” he said.
