Image of the Week: Reflecting Mystic’s Miami Surprise

Exhibitors at the Miami International Boat Show tend to hold at least one thing back to help create “the element of surprise” when the annual event opens, as it will next Thursday. In the case of Mystic Powerboats, which is bringing three M4200 luxury center consoles to the Feb. 14-20 event, the “Miami surprise” is one of three 42-footers dressed in a “sporty” Stephen Miles Design paintjob, according to Mystic Powerboat Sales representative Scott Sjogren.

This hullside reflection offers a glimpse of what’s to come from Mystic in Miami next week (click image to enlarge).

Excited about the upcoming event, Sjogren shot a few pictures of the boats leaving the Mystic facility in DeLand, Fla., on their way to Miami. One of those photos, which he sent us, offers a sneak peek of as yet unseen-by-the-public center console.

As you can glean from the image above, it’s definitely an aggressive departure from all previous work Stephen Miles has done for Mystic. And as good as it looks captured in the reflection on the hullside of the Mystic M4200 RF (Recreational Fish package), we know it will look even better in person at the show. But in the meantime, we’re grateful for the sneak peek.
