Capturing yesterday’s Four Horsemen Poker Run based out Sweetwater Performance Center and Marina in Oshkosh, Wis., speedonthewater.com chief photographer Pete Boden snagged an array of high-performance powerboats running in the lake’s root beer-hued water. And believe it or not, as photo editors who see a lot whole of shades of blue, we actually appreciate and enjoy looking at it each year.
The root beer waters of Lake Winnebago may not be picture perfect, but they never looked better than they did yesterday as they played host to the second organized event of the early summer. In a year already littered with COVID-19-cancelled events, root beer never looked better.
