On hand to capture last weekend’s Atlantic City Veterans Offshore Grand Prix in New Jersey (read the recap), photographer Pete Boden brought his full arsenal of digital photo equipment. That included several raceboat-mounted Replay XD mini “point of view” cameras, as Shoot 2 Thrill Pix, Boden’s photography business, is an authorized Replay XD dealer.

Boden, who doesn’t use Go-Pro digital camera units, swears by the Replay XD cameras for their durability, clarity/resolution and affordability, and if the shot above—our selection for Image of the Week—is anything to go by we’d say he’s onto something. Using a Replay XD mini, the photographer captured the father-and-son RUFSTR Class 500 team of EJ and Ken Salamone on its way to victory during the Atlantic City event.
From the V-bottom’s cockpit to the colorful chaos behind—including part of the Atlantic City hotel and casino skyline—this stunning image makes a great case for Boden’s choice in equipment.
