Yesterday was good for the Super Stock-class Phase05 team of owner/driver Alberta Penta and throttleman Jay Muller. The East Coast cockpit duo, which runs a 32-foot Doug Wright catamaran, finished third and fourth—out of nine teams—in its races at Offshore At The Ozarks-Cat Edition in Central Missouri. Heading into today’s double-points races, they are currently tied for third place with the LPC team of Loren Peters and Mike Wright.

Not bad for their first official outing as teammate. What’s more, while Muller has extensive Super Stock-class experience and more, Penta is new to the Super Stock ranks. A hard man to impress, Muller was delighted with his teammate’s performance.
“Albert did great,” he said. “The boat is getting better and better. We are getting some things figured out and working on finding some speed. This class is stacked with good teams and it is super competitive.
“It’s also a lot of fun,” he added.

The Phase05 team will back on the Lake of the Ozarks racecourse this afternoon for the final Super Stock race.
