Captured during last weekend’s Texas Outlaw Challenge in Seabrook, Texas, this Jay Nichols’ images is a fun little study in scale and perspective. With a tanker ship in the background—and check out the bow-wake it’s pushing—even the largest high-performance catamarans and V-bottoms in Saturday’s poker run would have seemed mighty small.
Ever feel small and insignificant? Odds are good that the folks in the go-fast boats in this image did. Photo courtesy/copyright Jay Nichols/Naples Image (click to enlarge).
The go-fast boats in the photo do have a couple of advantages over the one they’re passing—they’re faster and more maneuverable. Plus, they can fit at the docks at Kenny Armstrong’s home, the site for the first card stop of the Texas Outlaw Challenge. That’s a huge advantage.
