Earlier this month, Mystic Powerboats was among several high-performance marine industry sponsors that supported the annual Toys Tour—a holiday gift-gathering celebration for children in need framed in a performance-boating event—in Palatka, Fla., And with its recent toy drive and donation to the Salvation Army’s Angel Tree holiday gift program, the DeLand, Fla., company continued to play Santa Claus following its holiday party last weekend.
In the holiday spirt, the Mystic team gathered gifts for their local Salvation Army Angel Tree program.
The marine-industry effort for the invaluable Salvation Army program was spurred by Nor-Tech Hi-Performance Boats, as the Fort Myers, Fla., company reached out to a host of its boat-builder peers to get involved. As previously reported on speedonthewater.com, DCB Performance Boats and Mystic answered the call with toys donations.
The Mystic crew celebrated another successful year during its traditional holiday party last Saturday night. The group gathered for a quick photo behind the toys to be donated and then carried on with the celebration.
“We dropped the toys off this morning and they were very thankful,” said John Cosker, the owner of the company. “We will definitely do it again. Between the Toys Tour and the Angel Tree we were so happy to give back.”
