Lost admidst the headlines surrounding the recent Union International Motonautique F1 H2O World Championship season finale in Sharjah, UAE—Shaun Torrente’s race victory and Philippe Chiappe’s overall world championship—was the spectacular image of Jonas Andersson’s flip in qualifying, which is why it is today’s “In Case You Missed It” Image of the Week.

Along with the good news that Andersson was OK after the accident on Thursday, Dec. 15, the team confirmed that he would run the same boat-engine set up in Friday’s Grand Prix of Sharjah. Andersson’s sensational exit from qualifying came after he earned the pole position with his first run of the day. The driver, who won the previous F1 H2O race in Abu Dhabi, said he pushed too hard and over he went. Fortunately he was able to walk away unscathed and race the next day—he finished fourth overall behind Finland’s Sami Selio.
