Besides wishing everyone on (or off) the water today a happy and safe Fourth of July, the team at speedonthewater.com figured it would be appropriate to share one of the many performance boats—primarily Fountain Powerboats models—that we see at various events featuring stars and stripes-themed graphics.
Whether it’s the Fourth of July or not, Trent Puryear loves to show off his national pride. Photo by Jacob Davis/Lake Life Photos
The above boat, a Fountain 32 Fever owned by Trent Puryear, was captured by photographer Jacob Davis during the Lake Murray Children’s Chance Poker Run two weekends ago in South Carolina. Davis immediately sent the photo our way for consideration since it wasn’t just the boat’s American flag graphics that stood out—it’s Puryear’s jacket that really makes this image a memorable one.
Puryear was part of a stand-out powerboat community that helped the poker run raise at least $45,000 for the pediatric cancer charity, which put the event about $10,000 ahead of last year’s fundraising total.
