Given that the owners of even the most modest poker-run boats often order custom-matched jerseys for themselves and their crews, it makes perfect sense that Tom and Julie Mischke have new gear to match Tommy Bahama, their immaculately restored 44-foot MTI catamaran. And as you’d expect, they carried the boat’s graphic elements into their apparel.
Thanks to TK Kustoms, Julie Mischke has the shirt to match the boat.
But they didn’t turn to the famed clothing manufacturer for their wearables. Instead, they reached out to Tyler Kaddatz of Canada-based TK Customs, the outfit that also supplies—in the interest of full disclosure—branded bikinis and more to speedonthewater.com. The Mischkes learned about Kaddatz through Mark Nemschoff, the original owner of the famed MTI raceboat. As usual, Kaddatz came through.
Fans of the Tommy Bahama catamaran will get a chance to see it—and see it in action—at the Super Cat Fest West and Desert Storm Poker Run events in Lake Havasu City, Ariz., in April.
