Sent our way this morning by photographer Pete Boden, this shot came from today’s Florida Powerboat Club Fun Run to the Tarpon Point Grille & Tiki Bar in Bradenton, Fla. The casual lunch run is part of this weekend’s FPC Tampa Bay Poker Run. And it presented a dream raft-up of go-fast catamarans, including noted poker run enthusiast Bill Pyburn’s new Pure Platinum Skater 388 (read the story).
Which cat would you want to take home from today’s FPC Fun Run to the Tarpon Pointe Grill? Quick, you have 10 seconds to choose. Photo courtesy/copyright Pete Boden/Shoot 2 Thrill Pix (click image to enlarge).
As you can see from the photo above, the weather for today’s event, which attracted approximately 25 boats, was less than ideal. But that didn’t stop the folks in town early for the annual FPC run from getting out on the water and enjoying themselves. Of course, the real poker run starts tomorrow morning and another 10 or so go-fast boats will participate. The fleet will get bigger.
We’re just not sure it will get any better.
