Image Of The Week: Burton Kirsten Wears It Proud

Though he lives in Michigan with his wife, Yvette, Burton Kirsten has made Central Missouri’s Lake of the Ozarks his second home. Call it one of those unexpected COVID-19 benefits for Kirsten, who owns a 46-foot Outerlimits Offshore Powerboats catamaran called Jet and a 39-foot MTI catamaran dubbed Jetster, as well as the folks who live year-round in the area.

Letting Performance Boat Center’s Rusty Williams do the driving of his MTI 390X catamaran ahead of the second-year Outboard Only Fun, Burton Kirsten raised his hands in celebration of the ride.

In the interest of full disclosure, we count Kirsten as a cherished friend. He is as kind as he is colorful, as thoughtful and gracious as he is joyful and generous. Plus, Kirsten is fun—and smart—as hell. He’s one cool and endlessly supportive cat.

OK, we love the guy, especially when he’s flying our colors, which is pretty much all the time. His Minnesota-based buddy Adam Seraphine captured this image of him last Thursday in Jetster in advance of Friday’s Outboard Only Fun Run produced by Performance Boat Center.

Forever young dude that he is, Kirsten left the brand-sticker on the bill of his cap. And as you can see from the image below, he even paired it with a Speed On The Water shirt.
