Last weekend’s Tickfaw 200 Poker Run attracted a pair catamarans to its 240-boat fleet that surely had spectators thinking they were seeing double. The two 52-foot Black Diamond catamarans from Marine Technology Inc. (MTI), may not have stolen the show on Friday and Saturday, but we’re pretty sure they made it a whole lot better. Both caught the eyes of participant Yvonne Aleman, who captured this image and many others with her “point and shoot” camera for speedonthewater.com.

Aleman isn’t a professional photographer, but she’s worked most of her adult life to refine her craft and typically shoots with an array of high-quality gear. She wasn’t planning on capturing the Tickfaw event for speedonthewater.com, but she bravely stepped up when asked and brought home more than a few memorable images.
And we can’t thank her enough.
