Image of the Week: A Much Lower Altitude Mystic

When speedonthewater.com chief photographer Pete Boden of Shoot 2 Thrill Pix headed to New Smyrna Beach, Fla., to shoot the latest Mystic Powerboats M4200 luxury center console delivery, he came back with something unexpected—an image of the triple Mercury Marine Verado 350 outboard engine-powered 42-footer “catching air.” And that’s saying Boden has shot almost every Mystic M4200 produced in the last two years and has brought back nary an air shot.

OK, so it’s not a lot of air. Then again, it’s more than enough for a 13,000-pound (dry) center console loaded to the gunwales with electronics, features and amenities. And unlike more than a few big V-bottoms we’ve seen leave the water during the years, at least it’s flying level.
