The 58th annual Los Angeles Boat Show kicked off today at the Los Angeles Convention Center and some of the obvious highlights—if you’re looking at the performance boats that is—were the shiny new models from DCB Performance Boats, Howard Custom Boats, Nordic Boats and more.
Of course there are boats of all shapes and sizes—pontoons, wakeboard boats, cruisers, jet boats, watercraft, fishing boats and more—with power choices ranging from electric and diesel engines to supercharged offerings from Teague Custom Marine and outboards such as the highly anticipated Mercury Racing Verado 400R. (There was an M29 from DCB with a pair of the new Verado engines, which were introduced last week in Miami, as well as a Nordic Boats 26 Deck Boat with a single 400-hp offering.)
So without further ado, here’s a slideshow with various highlights from the opening day of the L.A. show, which is organized by the National Marine Manufacturers Association and runs through Sunday (Feb. 22).
