With the loss of its title sponsor, the GLOC Performance Boat Challenge in Oklahoma has been cancelled. Brock Sutherland, who purchased the assets of the top-speed event in October 2017, announced the cancellation of the event in a press release today.

“This decision was unforeseen and beyond our control,” Sutherland wrote in the release. “We have lost our title sponsor, which included the use of the marina facilities that we have operated our event out of for the past three years. We have looked at several other locations and none of them would have worked out or been approved.”
Sutherland vowed the event would return in 2019.
“We have already started working on this and will keep you updated as we progress,” he wrote. “We are still moving forward with the GLOC Charity Tour and more details will be announced in the near future.”
