According to a press release from the revitalized Big Thunder Marine group, Glencove Marina in Lake Ozark, Mo., will begin transitioning for its future as part of the expanding operation that recently acquired Lake Ozarks Marine following last year’s acquisition of Tritoon Town (read the story).

Founded in 1984 by Ron and Jan Thompson, Dan and Carol Smith, and Barry Moore and Joey Noel, Glencove Marina was purchased in 2011 by Bruce and Sherry Jackson. The change of ownership is set to begin transitioning immediately and the marina will continue to operate from its 3MM location off of Carol Road.

“Bruce and I are very excited to be part of (Big Thunder Marine) and can’t wait to see what the future brings,” Sherry Jackson said. “The Glencove employees are all invited on board this venture and I couldn’t be happier because they truly are some of the best in the business. Bruce and I have been focused on customer service for the past five years and we believe we have found someone else who also believes that the customers and employees are equally as important to a successful business”

Jeremy Anderson, general manager of the Big Thunder Marine group, said the company is excited to bring Glencove Marina into the Big Thunder family.

“This addition will allow us to bring an even greater level of service to the lake area,” Anderson said. “We will be the premiere pontoon and tritoon dealer at the lake.”
