Gallery of the Week: Stephen Miles Design Makes A Deep Impact

Stephen Miles, the talented, hardworking man behind the custom paint outfit that bears his name, always appreciates clients who have an idea of what they want but give him a bit of creative license. That’s exactly what happened with a Deep Impact 399 Sport performance center console paintjob nearing completion at Stephen Miles Design in Owensboro, Ky.

Said Miles, “The paintjob definitely makes the boat look longer”

The 39-footer is the first Deep Impact model that Stephen Miles Design has painted.

“It’s a customer-driven project and we’re definitely happy with it,” said Miles. “We were able to help pick the colors and then for the most part do what we wanted to.

“The paintjob definitely makes the boat look longer,” he added. “It looks six feet longer than it did when it got here.”

Miles said another Deep Impact 399 Sport paintjob is scheduled for him and his crew later this year.

“Once we get this one out the door, we will be going flat out with other jobs for the next three months,” he said. “But I’m looking forward to painting our second Deep Impact when that happens.”
