Nothing says “Merry Christmas” better than people in powerboats wearing Santa gear. That’s our take at least, and while we know we’re more than a little biased we stand by it. And you’ll find no greater concentration of such well-accessorized folks than at the Rus Matos’ annual Toys Tour in early December—typically the last official gasp of the organized performance-boating season—in Palatka, Fla.

Being in the holiday spirit, we decided to take a look at speedonthewater.com chief photographer Pete Boden’s Toys Tour photo albums from 2014 to 2017. Like the participants who brave the traditionally cold weather to bring toys via powerboats to children who’d otherwise have to go without, Boden shoots the event to show his support. We’re proud to have him as an integral part of our team.
For Toys Tour participants, the annual event is all about giving.
