With their holiday hiatus behind them, the staff members at Mystic Powerboats in DeLand, Fla., are back at work on the new M3800 luxury center console, as well as continuing production of the M4200 and gearing up for next month’s Miami International Boat Show. According to Scott Sjogren of Mystic Powerboat Sales, who supplied photos of the new 38-footer in its most current state, “the hull mold is 95 percent and the deck tooling will be finished in February.”
While Mystic built the tooling for the top of the M4200 by hand, the tooling for the M3800 was created using CNC technology.

“We will be infusing boats in February and delivering them by spring,” he said. “It’s an exciting boat, a big 38 with deep freeboard, a 10’6″ beam and the same 60-inch helm station as our 42. We’re putting everything we learned in our M4200 into the M3800.
“It’s a loaded boat,” he continued. “A bow thruster, a dive door, SeaDek flooring, dual Garmin 7616 GPS units a JL audio system and more are standard. And with triple Mercury Verado 350 outboards, which will get it to 70 mph, it will still cost less than $400,000.”
