If you had to pick a high-performance powerboat “Build of the Year,” the new Outerlimits Offshore Powerboats SV 43 called Crypto certainly would have to be in the discussion. Talk about a way for the Bristol, R.I., custom boat builder, which also reportedly has stabilized its ownership situation, to finish the year on a high note.

That said, the completion of Crypto, with the death of Patrick Higgins—the devoted Outerlimits client who ordered it—has been a trickier-than-usual process. Same goes for the photos of the canopied 43-footer, which have come out in stages.

So that’s how we’ve presented them—sequentially.

This time around, Outerlimits general manager Dan Kleitz sent us a slew of great running shots. Captured by Halsey Fulton on a mostly gray day in Bristol earlier this week, the images are as dramatic as they come. But we’ll let you be the judge of that.
