As he always does, longtime speedonthewater.com chief photographer Pete Boden made excellent use of his time at the recent Race World Offshore and Florida Powerboat Club affairs in Key West, Fla. When he wasn’t shooting teams competing in the offshore racing world championships, he was capturing pleasure boats in town for the Florida Powerboat Club’s annual Key celebration.

Boden’s Key West photo-work began two weeks ago today with the raceboat parade down Duval Street. He shot the first races of that week on Wednesday. The next day, he shot up to Coconut Grove to capture pleasure boats heading down to Key West for enjoy the Florida Powerboat Club event.

And he was back in time to photograph the 12th annual Speed On The Water Key West Bash and Charity Auction that evening. Race photography took Boden’s Friday and Sunday time. But he had a “free time” to shoot whatever struck his fancy on Saturday.
As you can see from the images above—and the one below—he didn’t waste a moment of it.
