Four Hustlers and Two Checkmates Set for Display in Miami

In the same boat, so to speak, as everyone else wondering how well received next week’s relocated Miami International Boat Show is going to be, Global Marine Power—the parent company of New York’s Hustler Powerboats and Ohio’s Checkmate Powerboats—is going to have six boats on hand for the 75th annual boat show.

According to Hustler’s Paul LoGiudice, there is going to be a couple of Hustler V-bottoms in the water—a 41 Razor with twin Mercury Racing 700SCi engines and a 388 Reloaded with a pair of Mercury Racing 565s at docks 331 and 333—and two other Hustler models in booth J1335 in the J Tent.

“It took some work figuring out our new booth layout, but we think it’s going to be a nice setup,” LoGiudice said. “We’ve got four boats on display inside: a Checkmate 2400 BRX with a single Mercury Verado 300 outboard, a Checkmate 2600 Convincor with a MerCruiser 8.2 Mag HO engine, a Mercury 540-powered Hustler 29 Rockit MC—our first midcabin/open-bow style 29—and a Hustler 25 Talon catamaran with twin 300-hp Mercury Racing OptiMax engines. We expect to stay pretty busy at the show.”

LoGiudice called all of the boats “nice pieces,” but the one we want to get a closer look at is the 25 Talon as Hustler integrated a seating area in the normally filled engine compartment that sounds pretty cool.
