While Formula Boats of Decatur, Ind., made its name on high-performance V-bottoms and still offers its FAS3Tech model line, the company continues to expand into other segments of the powerboat market. Announced in a press release this morning, the company’s 270 and 240 XS are the most recent examples of that expansion.
Abundant and versatile interior space is a key feature of the 270 XS and 240 XS models.
Based of the company’s popular 270 and 240 Bowriders, the XS versions of the 27- and 24-footers are equipped for family-oriented, towed watersports such as tubing and recreational wakeboarding. Each day boat/tow boat hybrid model is equipped with a towing tower outfitted with wakeboard racks, stereo speakers and lights, as well as an expanded swim platform.
The 27- and 24-footers are powered by Volvo Penta engines with the company’s forward-facing drive. To reflect their recreational watersports purpose, both offerings are dressed in aggressive “Xtreme” graphics.
According to the press release, abundant and versatile interior space is a key feature of the 270 XS and 240 XS models.
“Now you can enjoy the latest on-water adventures without compromising space, performance or amenities, and eliminating the need for a second day boat,” the release stated. “A larger swim platform, convertible aft sunpad, backrests that adjust for seating in the round, and table arrangements that serve you throughout the day make lasting memories for all.”
Pricing was not included in the release.
