Formula Launches New Video Page

Buyers in the market for a Formula powerboat can watch them in action thanks to a new video page from the Decatur, Ind., company. The page boasts 70-plus short videos showcasing every model in the boat-builder Bowrider, Crossover, Performance Cruiser and Yacht lines.

Through aggregation and in-house production, Formula has assembled an impressive video page.

Hands-on evaluations from boattest.com and Boating, Boating World and Power and Motoryacht magazines compromise much of the video collection. In several in-house videos, Formula’s designer John Adams walks viewers through various features of individual models and complete model lines.

In addition to those offerings, the “Overview” category on the new page includes in-house-produced videos on broader Formula topics such as hull lamination, interior installation and paint. One video even guides buyers through the basics of the Formula Flex and Flex My Way Programs for model customization.

According to Formula manager Scott Smith, the new video page was a long-term and much needed project.

“We didn’t like our previous video page,” he said. “It didn’t look good and it was hard to navigate. It wasn’t user friendly.

“So we  decided to work with our web developer, WebFX, commit some resources and create a page that we—Wayne Porter and the marketing and IT teams—liked and could move through easily,” he continued. “It was real team effort.”
