Announced during the 2022 Miami International Boat Show, Formula Boats’ first 38-foot center console will debut at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show, which is scheduled for October 26-30 in the Southwest Florida city. The new model, dubbed the Formula 387 Center Console Fish, is powered by triple Mercury Racing 450R outboard engines.
Formula’s first center console model in four decades, the 387 CCF is coming to the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show next month.
As previously reported on speedonthewater.com, the 38-footer also will be offered in a pleasure version called the Formula 387 Center Console Sport. Both versions have a 12-foot beam and can be powered by variety of outboard engines including triple Mercury Racing 450Rs or twin Mercury Marine Verado 600s.
Formula announced the news of the center console’s Fort Lauderdale debut in a press release earlier this week.
A variety of outboard engine power options are offered for the 38-footer.
“The Formula 387 Center Console series builds on Formula’s rich offshore heritage and gives you the flexibility from all-out Fish to all-out Sport and all points in between,” the release noted.
Though Formula built center consoles in the 1970s and 1980s, the 387 is the company’s first foray into the modern center console market. As the production-built V-bottom sportboat segment began fading out in the mid-2000s, Formula focused on building its popular Bowrider, Crossover Bowrider, Super Sport Crossover, All Sport Crossover, Sun Sport and Performance Cruiser lines.
The 387 CCF will debut at Formula’s in-water display in Fort Lauderdale opens when the show opens.
