While the general public won’t get an up close and personal view of Deep Impact’s updated 399 Cabin performance center console until the outboard engine-powered 39-footer is unveiled at South Florida’s Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show in November, Terry Sobo of Deep Impact has released an image of the boat fresh from the paint shop.
Already sold, Deep Impact’s first new 399 Cabin performance center console will debut at the annual Fort Lauderdale Boat Show.
“We had the 399 Cabin in the line-up, but when we released the 399 Sport with the new top we started working on the same treatment for the cabin version,” said Sobo. “We have changed the deck mold from three pieces to two pieces. And we’ve refined the leg attachment for the top from the original of the 399 Open so that it is more refined and flared.”
In addition to its stylish modern top, the 399 Cabin is being outfitted with a new dash and rear cockpit seating configuration. A rear-facing bench is being set up on the backside of the console seating station. Just ahead of the transom there will be a forward-facing bench, and a smaller port-facing bench is being added to the starboard side of the rear cockpit.
Inside the expansive forward cabin, the builder is retaining its twin berth—one forward and one aft—arrangement. Even with those generous sleeping areas, the cabin still offers enough space for Deep Impact to include entry steps, a large head locker and a hanging locker.
