Offered by Michigan performance boater Travis McDougall, this 42 Ultimate, which is powered by low-hour Mercury Racing 1075SCi engines and No. 6 drives, is the first boat built by Statement Marine—even though it doesn’t look like it. That’s because McDougall recently invested more than six figures into a makeover of the 42-foot V-bottom, which included an amazing paint job from Boat Customs (read a speedonthewater.com story about the boat here).

Along with the paint and new interior with crocodile, real leather, carbon fiber and Alcantara, new Garmin and Mercury VesselView 703 screens were installed. He also opted for new Latham Marine controls with drive and tab controls on the handles. The boat also has Marine Design Corporation DriveSync, which keeps both drives in sync with each other, and a loud Focal system with eight speakers, eight tweeters and two subwoofers.

The boat, which was well known for its air-cushion suspension cockpit, has a full cabin with LED lights and wraparound love seats with storage below. The cockpit sits on airbags and shocks, which provides an amazing ride without any harsh hits from waves. The suspension is adjustable and self-leveling, and is one of many things that set this boat apart from others.

The boat’s trailer is a 2010 MYCO that was just completely redone, top to bottom, with all-new bunks, tires and custom paint. If you want to stand out, then this boat—one of the coolest, best-riding boats on the market today, might be the one for you. Check out a YouTube video the boat here.
