In hopes of seeing folks decked out in personal floating devices while on the job today, Randy and Kim Sweers and the rest of the team at South Florida-based FB Marine Group are joining the National Safe Boating Campaign in promoting its “Wear A Life Jacket To Work Day.” The annual day encouraging boat enthusiasts to don PFDs is a traditional precursor to National Safe Boating week, which kicks off next Monday.

According to a press release from the organization included in an FB Marine Group email blast sent this morning, “The Annual Wear Your Life Jacket to Work Day is a fun, educational way to raise awareness of different life jacket styles as well as their comfort and versatility.”

As part of today’s program, the National Safe Boating Campaign is encouraging PFD-wearing participants to post photos of themselves to the Read, Set, Wear It Facebook page. Photos can also be sent via Twitter using the #RSWI2017 hash tag.
