Expectations High for Lake of the Ozarks Shootout on the Strip

According to Justin Wagner, the owner of Waves and Wheels—the title sponsor of Wednesday’s Shootout on the Strip—this year’s street festival held in conjunction with the annual Lake of the Ozarks Shootout in Central Missouri could possibly be the best one yet.

Wagner, who recently introduced his Bluave Marine Audio line and will be showcasing several boats with the new audio equipment during the Shootout on the Strip, said the Waves and Wheels display is going to take up roughly two football fields of space along each side of Bagnell Dam Boulevard in Lake Ozark, Mo.

Not only is Wagner, who is sponsoring the event for the third year in a row, excited to showcase his customers’ products from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m., he’s looking forward to seeing many of the other high-performance boats in town for the massive display of boats on the Bagnell Dam Strip.

“We’re going to have 600-plus feet of boats, side-by-sides, personal watercraft and more on both sides of the Strip,” Wagner said. “We’re bringing some really kick-ass hardware, including a few Skater Powerboats catamarans, a Fountain Powerboats V-bottom and a 37-foot Outerlimits, which I’ve been told was (Outerlimits Offshore Powerboats founder) Mike Fiore’s personal boat. We’ll be unveiling the Outerlimits that we worked closely on with Maryland Offshore Marine Center during the Shootout on the Strip.”

Along with other displays, including new Bluave outdoor speaker towers, Wagner added that there is going to be a DJ cranking the music from the Waves and Wheels display again. He invited everyone in town for the event to come visit the Shootout on the Strip.

“It’s going to be a great evening just like it has been since the event moved over to Bagnell Dam,” Wagner said. “I can’t wait to see what kind of show everyone puts on this year.”
