Besides wanting to wish all of our speedonthewater.com readers a Happy New Year today, we thought it would be fun to provide some good news to look forward to in 2017. Fortunately our friends at Eliminator Boats shared a couple of photos of the upcoming 28 Fun Deck that the Mira Loma, Calif., company is building with a hardtop.
Eliminator Boats expects to have its first 28 Fun Deck with a hardtop finished this spring. Photo courtesy Eliminator Boats.
Taking a cue from the popular center console market, Eliminator is fabricating a substantial fiberglass hardtop that will provide permanent shade and shelter for the entire cockpit of a 28 Fun Deck ordered by one of its customers.
According to Eliminator’s Gary Schueller, the 28-foot deck boat, which has been one of the builder’s best-selling models since its introduction in 2008, is expected to be on the water in the spring. He said he’s unsure how many customers will have interest in the hardtop version but that it’s a nice option to offer.
