DCB Performance Boats Delivers M28R Catamaran No. 4

With less than four months behind them since they introduced their first M28R catamaran during the Desert Storm Poker Run Street Party in Lake Havasu City, Ariz., the team at DCB has completed its fourth twin Mercury Racing Verado outboard engine-powered Widebody 28-footer. DCB’s Jeff Johnston delivered the new cat today to owner Greg Timmons, a well-known member of the Southern California performance-boating community.

With owner Greg Timmons, DCB Performance Boats M28R catamaran No. 4 is going to a good home.

Johnston acquainted Timmons, who currently also owns a 41-foot Hustler V-bottom, with his new beauty on Lake Havasu in 107-degree heat with unusually high humidity.

“I love it—it was flawless,” said Timmons. “And it ran beautifully over the rollers.

“It exceeded my expectations,” he added. “It’s a work of art.”

Timmons ordered his M28R with several options including Stage III graphics, carbon fiber stiffeners in the hull (the boat-vacuum bagged, resin-infused boat is built with a Penske composite lamination schedule), Mercury Racing CNC propellers and a billet sand shower. The catamaran’s helm station is outfitted with a Mercury Vessel View 7 monitor, three nine-inch Simrad MFC touch screens interlinked with the engines and a digital depth sounder. In addition to underwater LED lighting, the 28-footer is set up with LED cockpit lights.
