DCB Performance Boats is going to begin production on a new 42-foot center console soon.

“It’s a big project and we’re excited about it,” said Jeff Johnston, the president of DCB. “Customer interest already is incredible—that actually drove our decision to move ahead with it. People have been asking us to build a center console for a long, long time.”

The DCB team collaborated with SFG Yacht Design for the 42-footer’s exterior styling, which incorporates signature elements of DCB’s stunning and successful M-Series catamaran line that ranges from 28 to 44 feet. For final hull design, DCB is working with a proven Florida-based engineering and tooling company. Hull and deck plugs—and other numerous parts of the boat—will be created via CNC technology.

With the base power package of Verado 400R outboards, the boat—with a trailer included—will list in the mid-$700,000 range. The first two production slots have already been taken. The company currently is taking deposits for boats No. 3, No. 4 and No. 5.
