In taking delivery of his new Mystic Powerboats M4200 powered by quad Mercury Racing 450R outboard engines at Haulover Marine Center in North Miami today, Chicagoan Frank Sacco did more than acquire another striking luxury performance center console. The 42-footer is his fourth from the DeLand, Fla., custom center console and catamaran company.

Though this vibrant M4200 is the owner’s fourth Mystic center console, it is his first with Mercury Racing 450R outboard power.

“That’s a pretty elite club, four-time Mystic owners,” said Greg Weber, Mystic’s director of sales and dealer development. “Frank and Slug Hefner are the only members. The three-time Mystic owner club has a few more members.”

“The boats have just gotten better and better,” said Sacco, who was one of the company’s first center console customers.

Sacco’s latest M4200 is his first with 1,800 horsepower worth of supercharged Mercury Racing power. His first was powered by a trio of Mercury Marine Verado 350 outboards.

“The first time I ran one with 450s was six months ago,” said Sacco, who just returned from running his new M4200 for the first time today. “The punch was unbelievable.”

Details, details.

Today’s sea trial in the Atlantic Ocean left him even more impressed.

“I just got off the phone Greg Weber,” he continued. “The boat is so balanced and it runs so much better in the rough with those engines. It runs amazing.”

For the rest of the winter, Sacco will keep the Mystic in South Florida. Come summer, he’ll bring it home to Chicago, where he’ll run it on Lake Michigan and beyond.
