Cats and Center Consoles of All Sizes to Highlight MTI Display in Miami

The word from Tim Gallagher, sales and marketing manager for Marine Technology Inc., is that the fleet is coming together nicely for the MTI display for next week’s Miami International Boat Show.

“We will have a new MTI-V 57 on display, this time with quad Mercury Racing 400R engines and Joystick piloting,” Gallagher said. “We also have a new red MTI-V 42 demo boat that is powered by quad 400s and equipped with some very nice new features, as well as a MTI-V 42 to keep the fishing crowd happy.

“We have a great lineup of catamarans on tap, too,” he continued, referencing cats of 34, 40, 43 and 48 feet that are going to be on display at the end of Pier 3 (booth numbers 392-399). “Our new 43 will be showcased at Mercury Racing’s in-water display…only time will tell as to why it’s in the Mercury booth.”

Gallagher said the Wentzville, Mo.-based company sold its red and white 340X demo model and the boat’s replacement—an all-gelcoat 34-footer in a color that’s hard to miss—is going to be at the show. He added that sea trials are available by appointment only and generally take place in the early morning or later in the day before the show closes.

Along with a first-impression test ride article on the 57-foot center console powered by quad 400-hp engines, you can count on a speedonthewater.com story and photo recap from the show’s premier day highlighting the MTIs on display, such as the latest MTI-V 42 demo model that features some cool new technology, including Lumishore underwater LED with an integrated Lumi-hub interface for Garmin’s 8000 series displays and a Night Hawk II night vision pop-up camera from Electronics Unlimited.

“Our location is the same as the last two years—at the end of Pier 3,” Gallagher said. “Our large tent and white helium ball with our logo help make it easy to find us.”
