To showcase its 200- to 300-hp Evinrude E-TEC G2 outboard engines, Bombardier Recreational Products has created a “test ride” program at scheduled events around the country, according to a press release from the company. The test ride program incorporates local dealer events, boat shows and community events throughout the summer and into the fall. (Click here to check out the schedule.)
“The Evinrude test-ride program gives boaters the chance to experience the thrill of Evinrude E-TEC G2 outboards,” said Chris Berg, director of marketing and strategic planning for the Evinrude brand in Sturtevant, Wis. “It’s one thing to read or hear about the power, performance and fuel economy. It’s something else altogether to get behind the helm and experience it firsthand.”
The Evinrude E-TEC G2 engines deliver up to 20 percent more torque, up to 15 percent better fuel efficiency and up to 75 percent fewer total regulated emissions than leading competitive four-stroke engines, according to the press release. (The numbers quoted in the release are from BRP’s internal research.)
