In an effort to support a truly inspiring program that works with the nation’s wounded, injured and ill service members through adaptive sports, the sixth annual Arcuri for SUDS Fundraiser is being held this Saturday (Sept. 10) in Brick, N.J. Featuring boat rides, raffles, games, 50/50 drawings, food from Jack Gregory Catering and Rama’s Sushi, as well musical entertainment from The Blues Collar Band, Katfish Lucy and Street Hassle, the event starts at 1 p.m. and organizers promise an unforgettable day.

Benefitting Soldiers Undertaking Disabled SCUBA, a program that gives permanently disabled service members the opportunity to try a challenging and rewarding activity that can help facilitate the rehabilitation process and be an activity that they can enjoy for years to come, the tax-deductible tickets are $150 per person (SUDS is a 501(c)3 organization and a chapter of Disabled Sports USA) and the price of admission includes unlimited food and drinks to go with the boat rides and entertainment.
Organizers behind the fundraiser are looking for local boaters who would like to take the people who so generously donate to the cause out for a boat ride. If you’re interested, contact Steve Monteforte at 908-413-7766. Sharkey Images photographer Tim Sharkey is planning to shoot the event for the second year in a row, so look for images from the event next week on speedonthewater.com.
