With a week-and-a-half to go, the 1,000 Islands Charity Poker Run in Clayton, N.Y., still has a few slots open for high-performance powerboat owners. But if you want to enjoy the spectacle but don’t have a boat? To that end, Uncle Sam Boat Tours has teamed up with Make-A-Wish of Central New York and the River Hospital Wellness Program to create “Waves Of Wishes,” which offers two poker-run boat tours—morning and afternoon—for the July 14-16 event.

The vessels from Uncle Sam Boat Tours will depart on July 16. The first will leave Clayton at 9:45 a.m. and return at 11:45, which give the spectators on board a close-up view of the poker-run start. The second vessel will depart nearby Alexandria Bay at 1:45 p.m. so spectators can catch the poker-run fleet leaving its afternoon lunch stop. It will return to its starting point at 3 p.m.
All proceeds will go to benefit Make-A-Wish of Central New York and River Hospital. Ticket prices are $25 for adults, $20 for military personnel and $12.50 children from five to 12 years old. Admission for younger children is free.
