Bimini Returning, Plus New Venue For 2018 OPA Season

The Offshore Powerboat Association has released its schedule of races for 2018. Here’s a quick look at next year’s nine-event series.

•March 30-1—Pahokee Outpost Grand Prix, Pahokee, Lake Okeechobee, Fla. (new event)
•April 25-39—Resorts World Bimini Grand Prix, Bimini, Bahamas
•May 18-20—Point Pleasant Beach Grand Prix, Point Pleasant Beach, N.J.
•June 1-2—Lake Race, Lake of the Ozarks, Mo.
•June 15-17—Event name and venue to be determined.
•July 27-31—St. Clair River Classic, St. Clair, Mich.
•August 24-26—Fall River Grand Prix, Fall River, Mass.
•September 21-23—Lake Hopatcong Grand Prix/National Championships, Lake Hopatcong, N.J.
•November 15-18—OPA World Championships, Englewood Beach, Fla.

The final event of the 2017 season, the OPA World Championships are set for November 15-18 in Englewood Beach, Fla., as part of the community’s annual Waterfest happening.
