To thank its customers around the country for their loyalty, BBlades Professional Propellers of Princeton, Wis., is offering several end-of-season discounts. Though the end of the month, all of the company’s accessories such as Prop Locks, Prop Skins (covers), hats, T-shirts and much more will be discounted 10 percent.

Better still for owners of powerboats with high-output outboard engines, BBlades is offering Mercury’s Flo-Torq SSR HD system, the “quietest and smoothest shifting propeller hub system available” for high horse-powered outboards. The Flo-Torq Soft Shift Rubber HD reportedly delivers 10 to 19 percent less “shift clunk” as compared to other noise reduction rubber hub systems and more than 25 percent better than solid hub designs, according to a BBlades press release.

The Flo-Torq SSR HD is an ultra-durable, solid stainless steel design featuring a bonded rubber drive sleeve. The bonded rubber sleeve allows the propeller to rotate around the solid hub, absorbing shift clunk and vibration. According to the release, the hub will engage the propeller inner hub once it’s under load. That results in a solid hub with the ability to transfer the power of 350- to 400-hp Mercury and Mercury Racing’s Verado engines. According to the release, “It truly is the quietest and smoothest hub system ever created.”
