A Nor-Tech Hi-Performance Boats dealer for the past five years, American Custom Marine of Kimball, Mich., delivered its second Nor-Tech 390 Sport Center Console of 2018 to a buyer in Charlevoix, Mich., earlier this week. The 39-footer is powered by triple Mercury Marine Verado 350 outboard engines.
Delivered to a second-time Nor-Tech buyer, this new 39-footer will ply the waters of Lake Michigan and Lake Charlevoix (click image to enlarge.)
The buyer, according to American Custom Marine owner Michael Knoblock, is a former V-bottom sportboat owner and second-time Nor-Tech customer who previously owned a Nor-Tech 340 center console.
“He’s going to keep the 390 on a hoist at Lake Charlevoix for the rest of the summer,” said Knoblock. “He’s been a performance-boat guy so he ordered it with a more performance-oriented color scheme—dark blue, silver and lime green. It’s a great-looking boat.
“He actually really liked his 34-footer,” he added. “He just wanted a bigger boat for Lake Michigan.”

Knoblock also said that he has three more Nor-Tech models ordered. A pair of 390s are slated to go into production in November. But before that, the North Fort Myers, Fla., company will begin work on American Custom Marine’s first 450.
“The 450 is already sold,” he said. “American Custom Marine is the Nor-Tech dealer for the Great Lakes region in the United States, and we’re pretty happy about that.”
